The family of the late Madelyn Hutchinson are filled with sorrow to announce her passing on October 11, 2016. Our mother passed away peacefully in her home at Evergreen Home for Special Care. Madelyn was born in Port Williams on September 12, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Lovett and Dora (Chase) Forsythe.

We remember mom as a loving, caring, loyal mother who always had time for her late husband Frank and her children, Gary (Sheila) of Sunken Lake; Tim (Judy Sawler) of Sunken Lake; Holly (Matthew) Boates of Wolfville Ridge; Kendall (Kate Peill) of Kentville; 8 grandchildren Darrin, Nancy, Devin, Dustin, Denise, Laura, Jill and Vanessa; great grandchildren Conlan, Drew, Cole, Ava, Gabrielle and Jalen.

Madelyn was predeceased by her husband Frank, sisters Maxine Runciman, Ruth Dowe, Helen Dowe, Mildred Smith, Jessie Mallory, Ethel Pineo and brothers Andrew, Clarence and Roy.

In addition to being a great homemaker, cook, gardener, card player and carver of wooden ducks, Madelyn loved spending time at the family cottage at Sunken Lake entertaining her many friends and family. She will continue to forever support her favorite sports team – Go Jays Go! Madelyn was a long time member of the Port Williams United Baptist Church through which she supported her community – Port Williams.
