Obituary of Myrna Keddy
Myrna Alberta Keddy (Davison) of Greenwich, passed away peacefully in her home at Shannex (Blomidon Court) on Wednesday October 12th, 2016 at the age of 96. She was born November 8th, 1919 to Axmouth and Lottie May Davison of Gaspereau.
Myrna was a caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was also a loving wife, mother & sister. Myrna was the 5th child of 14 children. She was happily married for 60 years to her predeceased husband, Grant (Buss) Allison Keddy. They were married on January 30th, 1937.
She had 5 wonderful children whom she loved very much. She was predeceased by daughters; Joanie Faulkner of B.C. & Mildred Haley of Hantsport. Myrna survived by daughter Shirley McNeil of Lockhartville and sons, Mac (Betty) Keddy of Kentville, Owen (Debbie) Keddy of Cambridge.
She was a proud grandmother of 22 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren & 1 Great, Great, Grandchild.
She spent most of her life working as a housekeeper and raising her children. There wasn't much Myrna couldn't do from cooking, to making quilts, picking apples, painting murals on the sides of her sheds to shoveling the roof of in the middle of winter at the age of 92. She and her late husband Grant (Buss) were well known in the community as the local Buy & Sell on the River Road. They always had skates, furniture and many household items for sale. They both loved to wheel & deal. Myrna was a very generous person always willing to help anyone in need no matter if family or friend. She always had a good story & laugh for you.
Myrna was well known for talking to those about her faith as a devoted Jehovah's Witness. She will be greatly missed by all her spiritual brothers & sisters whom she loved so very much.
Myrna also has 2 surviving brothers, Sheldon (Elsie) Davidson of Aylesford and Ashley Davison of Gaspereau.
She was predeceased by sisters; Seva, Rhoda, Hazel, Phyllis & Lexie and brothers Geoh, Lowell, Pearly & Alton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, Wolfville Chapel, 568 Main Street Wolfville (902-542-4656). A visitation will take place on October 21, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on October 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Home in Wolfville. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Grand Pre Congregation.
